Ava (my first born) was prem and I wasn't ready for her to arrive....I was meant to have 'maternity leave'. It was all a big blur and massive life change that I felt un-prepared for (we literally stopped at baby bunting on the way home from hospital to buy EVERYTHING!). I didn't get a baby shower, her nursery wasn't anywhere near ready and I didn't get any pregnancy images.........I was completely naive that this could happen to me.......
So, I get it! handing over your baby to a complete stranger is a big deal, but I’ve got you. I don’t mind waiting while you feed or give them a cuddle, and I certainly don’t mind getting pooed on! Every session is based on your baby.
My main aim is for your baby/children to feel as comfortable as possible with me, so you can walk away with the beautiful memories you deserve.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me in full family mode! Yep, school mum, basketball coach, swimming/cheerleading runs, and I never say no to a play date!
I also bought a Thermomix.........and let's say........my husband loves it more than me! Winning!!
Wow! I have gone in such a different direction since uni......
After graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a degree in Exercise Science and Monash University with a Bachelor of Teaching, I was a primary school teacher for 6.5 years before Ava was born. I also taught dance for over 15 years, working with children and families is where my heart lies.
While teaching, I completed a Diploma in Professional Photography through the Photography Institute, then in late 2014, Bec Gordon Photography was opened.
There are three things in life that blow Victoria's mind…aeroplanes, cameras and childbirth! It is this fascination that has gotten her to where she is today.
Always drawn to celebration and creativity Victoria's background is in Visual Merchandising and Event Management. Victoria's other great love and appreciation for children has allowed her to become a qualified Early Childhood Educator and previously a volunteer at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Wave a fairy wand to all of the above, add in a Diploma of Photography, sprinkle some Bec Gordon mentorship and viola, here she is!
Victoria is a gleaming Mum of two and has quickly come to learn that her children are her teachers and she is their student. She says that 'becoming a parent has been my biggest growth, in mind and heart'.
Her guilty secret is that she has taken a photo of her children every day since they were born! Victoria doesn’t want to miss a minute of them and eagerly awaits to live the best days of her life with them and their children as life goes on.

"I don’t even know where to start!
A HUGE ‘Thank You’ from the bottom of our hearts for the absolutely amazing photos of Texas and our family.
You are the best photographer I have ever worked with and will continue to use your services in the future as well as let as many people I can know about your brilliant work.
Thank you for our photoshoot day - you made working with a tired baby and naughty 5 yr old look effortless! (Sorry Rocco ate so many lollies 😬)
The hardest part for us now is choosing the photos!"

"Bec is amazing. I could not be happier with the photos. Bec made all the family feel comfortable and I was in awe of how good she is with babies and settling them to achieve the most amazing pictures. Bec followed up with us near our due date and congratulated us on the birth of our baby straight away. Her service is so good and she is such a lovely person. She goes above and beyond. After seeing the photos we have decided to do annual family photos with Bec. We can't wait to see Bec again soon."
